industrial

i really liked the drum loops and the background sounds in general
when the melody opened up it seemed a bit too soft, but i loved the part that came in ~1:13, also loved that wahhh! sound, got a bit too soft at about ~2:00, and the drums were quite staticy

i dont think progressive trance would be suitable
more like industrial trance or something

it's nice though

reminds me

if you've ever played Super Smash Brothers Melee, it sounds like the theme to 'Break the Targets"

fun to listen to overall,
good to see diverse music on newgrounds.

wow.

beats are your thing man, never stop making them please.
i actually think i would enjoy it more if you kept it without vocals, incase you plan on having someone rap over it.

also fix the ending haha, im sure you can make a sweet closer,

chill

this was a chill listen, but there were some wrong chords or whatnot on the background strings or synth or whatever it is, it really distracted from the music, like the vibrating kind of bad layering
i was also quite dissapointed that there was no ukelele, but it wasnt bad.

John-Gaden responds:

Thanks for the review, but in the future I would appreciate it if you spoke coherent English. I have no idea what you mean by "vibrating kind of bad layering" but I'm assuming you mean the tremolo strings in the background. As for the chords, everything here is nice and diatonic, so I dunno what you could be hearing.

i actually hate basshunter

but the live effect was quite pimp,
you should remix it more and edit those drum loops, so generic!

but it was a good listen.

nice,

the xylophone(?) was very off haha, but it didnt take away from the song, i cant tell about the timpani's

i love the brush sound though, also the horns and woodwinds.

overall great work, you got a 5/5 out of me.

Hey, Again.

If you're looking for ways to improve the piece, at about ~:35 I heard a perfect time when you had just used a higher chord, that you could've inserted a turning point, taking out one or two sounds from the song and introducing a new one such as a piano or electric guitar and really make a cool tune.

i was thinking of opening with a staccato-y guitar part breaking out into a small solo and then dying down and going back into the original song and ending.

but thats just me xD

this song always gets stuck in my head when Rihanna sings it.

nontheless it was quite fun to listen to it.

Haha, I know what you mean, that's probably the reason why this version exists!

Thank you ^^

Okay :3

IDM?

if this is supposed to be IDM, then it's not too bad, but it was really lacking some umph, ya know?

also quite repetative, but im sure you know that.
is there a possibility of you expanding on this?

zcult responds:

Yeah. I think I'm going to have to completely reorganize this song... Some of the patterns are getting the way of other patterns... A mess really... Maybe I'll cut out some of the repetition.

Good review. Thanks for the intelligent response.

SKA..!?

you just got yourselves a new fan.

i really do love me some ska. :]

it's really sad to see that the only songs that get good votes on this site are ones with generic techno loops or a drum n bass song with a 'deep' name.
